The songs…came to life from beneath the hum of the road beneath us; the captivating scenery, weathered and worn old barns, vacant windows in decaying mills, the beauty of a barren wasteland and the soliloquy of the Great Lakes. To the mountains, to the prairies to the oceans white with foam. It is all there…the struggle, the achievement, the setback…always the journey, always the love, always the faith by which we endure. Through it all, we are not alone. There are millions of stories, yet only a drop in the bucket have we encountered. With each new house concert, in each new town, we find ourselves, again and again, becoming spiritually connected, transcending ideals and rhetoric; finding harmony in our surroundings. This is “American Music” where all styles of music come together at a distinctly original musical crossroads.
Thanks to all of our dear friends who have been supporting our mission and following our progress as we moved from town-to-town this past fall (and all our past tours, too)! After some consideration, Kevin and I have decided to stay close to Texas this year, and start booking our 2017 tour dates now. 2016 is going to be a year of change for us, as we look to moving from our beloved casita in Hondo, to the growing community of Fredericksburg, which is smack-dab in the middle of the Hill Country music scene! Of course, with a move of this kind, there is the dreaded “sorting though the household” tasks, packing-up and unpacking stuff, and getting situated in a new nest. But, that’s OK. Hopefully, our next place will be bigger than our current one-bedroom tiny house. Kevin really needs some space to write and record without me having to tiptoe around… Kevin has been working on sorting and organizing a staggering amount of breathtaking photos and videos he has accumulated from our tours, with a goal of finally completing a book of photos, lyrics and musings that has been well-overdue.
